About Dr. Kacey Wallace

As a board-certified family physician, we learned how to follow protocols and prescribe medications, but when I battled chronic illness, nothing in the traditional system truly helped. It wasn’t until I discovered functional medicine that I began to heal, deeply and lastingly.
What I found fascinating was that as my gut issues healed with functional medicine, other problems, like depression, began to improve too. That’s when I realized how interconnected our body systems truly are. While conventional medicine tends to focus on managing symptoms, functional medicine dives deeper to uncover and address the root causes of those issues.

I became certified in ReCODE (Dr. Dale Bredesen’s program for reversing cognitive decline), added advanced lab testing and root-cause analysis to my work, and never looked back.
Then it got personal. My mom began showing signs of early dementia, and I’d already watched my grandmother suffer the same decline. I couldn’t ignore the patterns. And I wasn’t going to sit back and wait for my turn.
